 Rainbows, clouds, suits & sparkles.

I was watching the video before making the post, and I found myself grinning from ear to ear.

Note to self: Never watch this video alone in public.

And with that, here's a happy 8 years (+1 week) to my LJ! :)

8 years, yo. Must find out how to download all those entries soon.

HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY,
ARASHI!

Stay fun and gorgeous always :)
And please please please come to Singapore in this 10th year. Please?

I would attempt to make the text all sparkly and glittery and colourful but umm, bit lazy. Heh.

Can't wait to go home to see him tomorrow!

So, I've been going crazy, trying to find a program that can auto screencap in Mac.

I've been told that VLC can do it, and I've managed to find tutorials for that. BUT. The latest version of VLC has changed some of the options, and nobody's written a tutorial using the new one. And I'm too much of an idiot to try and figure it out.

I still miss my KMPlayer, they should make a Mac version.
Pretty please?

So, does anyone know of a program that can auto screencap, in Mac? And is easy to use, so that even an idiot like me can't screw it up??

I...wasn't exactly bored.
Rather, the scans were compelling :)

#6-#29 came from Myojo May 2009 scans by [info]nijionna.
The rest were screencaps I took myself.

Haha see, that episode really got to me.
Downloaded the new updated GIMP 2.6, which works MUCH BETTER than the 2.4. Wait, the 2.4 didn't even work, what am i talking about. I've also totally forgotten how to post icons, haha!

i get these stuff from Wiki - i love Wiki, it's pretty awesome.

The Rathaus-Glockenspiel of Munich is a tourist attraction in Marienplatz the heart of Munich.
Part of the second construction phase of the New Town Hall, it dates from 1908. Every day at 11am (as well as 12pm and 5pm in summer) it chimes and re-enacts two stories from the 16th century to the amusement of mass crowds of tourists and locals.

Sankt Goar am Rhein is a town in the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. St. Goar is located on the Rhine, in the section known as the Rhine Gorge, and is impressively situated between mountains which rise on either side of the river.

we spent about half a day in St. Goar, before leaving for Munich. didn't do much, except visit the place where they make super awesome beer steins - apparently they keep beer cold and yummy! I would have bought one, if i drank beer, haha. then we had dinner at the restaurant nearby, took some photos by the river, slid around in the muddy banks trying to touch the water, and checked into our hostel. the water wasn't that cold, by the way, although the others insist it was freezing. weirdos.

some of the others went for wine-tasting that night...we obviously gave that a miss!

so here i've got five photos, because i'm too lazy to pick out/edit/upload more, hahahaaa :)
they are all up on facebook, actually. oh wells!

Photobucket
giant cuckoo clock!
not the biggest one in the world, unfortunately, although the world's biggest cuckoo clock IS found in germany. Triberg, to be exact. i have no idea where that is, or whether we passed it, because i suck at remembering relatively unimportant stuff like that, hah! but this shop has lots of cuckoo clocks in it. makes up for it, i suppose.

Photobucket
birkenstocks!
we went in to look around, but it's nothing terribly exciting. the prices were not bad, but the designs were boring - most of them were pretty plain, there weren't any pretty designs like they have here! kim (one of the malaysian girls) bought a pair of red ones for 19euros, and she was super excited, showing them off to us the next day, so cute!

Photobucket Photobucket
haha, cute dog!
he was slumped behind the counter in one of the shops, super cuteeee :)
forgot his name though, but he perked up when his owner called him and told him to smile!

i think this is my favourite amsterdam picture!
yeah it looks like nothing fantastic BUT did you know, this was taken at five minutes to midnight! i was very amazed by the fact that even at midnight the sun still hadn't set fully. i'm still very amazed, in fact. i have no idea whether it ever sets fully at all.
but i'm sure it has to.

#2
Photobucket

haha okay this is not about amsterdam, but i had to put it in.
common sight - stu standing at the front of the bus, telling us about something or the other, while people listened/slept/took photos out the windows. in this one i think we've just arrived in amsterdam, and he's telling us about the rooming list or something.

#3
Photobucket

another common sight - the itinerary!
we were advised to take pictures of the itinerary whenever he passed them down, so we wouldn't forget meeting times and breakfast times and dinner times. aww i miss these.

#4
Photobucket

they had a lot of bicycles. A LOT.
stu was telling us about how bicycles are an important mode of travel in amsterdam (maybe even the netherlands?). and like, if you see a bike you like on the streets you can just pick it up and ride it home if it's unlocked. so the bikes are usually plain and ordinary, nothing fancy. and then like, if you see one you like, and it's locked, people usually just put another lock over it. so if someone's locked your bike, you can either wait it out or like, give up, and save your lock. because usually the locks are more expensive than the bikes! pretty interesting.

and also, if you don't stay off the bike paths and you get knocked down,
it's YOUR fault, no matter what.

and lastly - this place!
uhhhh i can't remember what it's called. but i guess it's an important place. it's pretty?
for some reason it looks especially pretty in this photo. i think it must be the sky ah.
haha. i LOVED THE SKIES in europe!!

L-R: stu, me, izean, diyana, james, sarah.

i have gotten half of the pictures!!
and i've just spent the better part of the last 3 hours sifting through them, rotating some, deleting irrelevant pics (like the izean + ully ones!) and watching every single video. there seems to be more exciting videos this time round (as compared to the toronto ones), but maybe it's just cuz this is my first time watching them.

don't think i'll be posting huge chunks of pics until i get the whole batch, either on facebook or on lj. but i'll be posting one or two in the next few updates, depending on my mood, heh. still waiting for one memory card from sarah, and ALL of diyana's photos.

in all of our 1000+ photos and videos, we only have a handful that are of the eyecandy on tour. well, my eyecandy at least, i'm not sure about the rest. haha and because this shall be a public post for sarah's benefit (you see! you see!) i shall not name names. which means the eyecandy post (if there is gonna be one) will be locked, heehee!

okays hopefully they don't see this but,
I MISS JAMES AND DISCO!
i really do. :)

in the past 5 minutes, i have called 4 different people.
all 4 of them didn't pick up their phones!

and i am UTTERLY ANNOYED, as a result.

not really at them, i guess.
but at the mysterious cosmic power that is somehow managing to tell me that i am totally unwanted, because 4 different people refused to pick up my phone call.

what the hell. i don't even make calls that often, argh.

I have managed to figure out how to add the various languages into my laptop!
Not that i didn't know how to beforehand, but somehow they weren't appearing like they were supposed to. hmpf.

Hello!

ยันติ!

こんにちわ!

你好!

everything is a form of greeting, except for the one in thai, because it sucks to type in thai :x
it's just like in korean, where every key stands for a different symbol, and i have to memorise them before i can type a coherent sentence, wahahaha. think i gotta install some language pack to allow the option to type in english characters, with the tone marks. hmm and that language pack will probably show me the layout of the thai keyboard too!

oh haha the thai words spell out my name, heh.
